Natural Cleaning Recipes
I have been cleaning my home with natural and homemade products for the past six years and I can honestly say that I do not miss icky chemical cleaners one bit. I am gathering my most useful and favorite recipes to list on this page. I hope you enjoy them as much as I do.
Glass cleaner
Easiest formula ever : One part vinegar to one part water. Spray and wipe clean. That's all. Really.
All-Purpose Cleaner
- 4 cups very hot water
- 1 TBS borax
- 1/8 cup vinegar
- 1 TBS baking soda
- 1 ts vegetable oil based soap or castile soap
- 10 drops essential oil (I prefer lemon balm)
Bath and Kitchen Cleaner
Follow previous steps for APC, but replace baking soda with washing soda
Essential oils for Kitchen-orange, lemon, grapefruit
Essential oils for Bathroom-orange, tea tree, eucalyptus, pine
Hard water stains- cut a lemon in half and rub into stains, rub on baby oil with soft cloth
Wood Cleaner
Equal parts Orange, Olive, Lemon oil
Rub into wood with soft cloth
